Green Karachi Plan
Federal Government announced green Karachi plan under which 13 billion Rupees will be spent for parks and planting 20 million plants in the city. The purpose of this plan is to ensure international standards of one plant per citizen. The government announced in total nine plans to be carried out in Karachi. The private sector will also be enticed to participate in the green Karachi plans. First of all within six months at boot basin Shaheed Banazir Bhutto Park will be constructed. In Liyari, the world largest green park on six thousand acres will be constructed. One billion rupees will be spent on the plantation on the sides of 24 roads in Karachi. One and half billion rupees will be spent on the construction of reservoir on 1800 acres in the Mangu peer hills
